What is the best way to use a grinder?
Most people believe that using a grinder is pretty straight forward but there is a technique you need to perfect to ensure you grind your marijuana correctly. That is why we have decided to produce a handy guide on what we believe are the top five tips for using your weed grinder.
- Pick a Great Grinder – The Golden Gate Grinder
Well, we would obviously recommend the Golden Gate Grinder. And why is this? Well, take a look at our feedback on Amazon. We’ve had over five hundred five star reviews from customers on Amazon which only goes to show why we think this is the best grinder for weed currently for sale. Our grinder comes top of the most reviewed charts for grinders which is a stat we are very proud of.
- Do not overfill the grinder
It can be very easy to toss all your marijuana into the grinder and begin grinding straight away. We would advise you not to do this. If you did put too much into the top chamber of the grinder, this could result in a finished product that is still quite large with little bits of weed which are bigger than others which make it less pleasurable for smoking and vaping. We would advise a small pinch of marijuana to be inserted rather than a huge handful!
- Turn the grinder upside down!
This may seem like an unusual practice but it does work. Why would you turn your grinder upside down? Well, this results in a finer grind. This is able to be done with the Golden Gate Grinder as we have a lid which is held fast by our powerful Neodymium magnets which keep the lid. This lid also ensures that you can store leftover herbs in the grinder and is discreet enough that no smell comes from the grinder.
- Grind the herb thoroughly
This may seem like a simple tip for us to provide, but this is vitally important and there are some clues you can use to see if the grinding process has been completed. When you first begin grinding the marijuana, you will encounter a little bit of resistance as the 49 teeth of our grinder grind the herb. You can guess when the process has completed when the twisting motion becomes resistance free. A great way to know when the marijuana has been thoroughly grinded is that you will notice the twisting motion will become much easier and resistance free – similar to what it would feel like if you twisted the chamber with nothing in it.
- Harvest the kief from your grinder
We are often asked by our customers what kief is. Kief is finely ground marijuana that becomes built up through the filter in a four piece marijuana grinder. What makes kief different from normal marijuana is the higher Tetrahydrocannabinol content (THC). If you continually use the grinder, the kief will naturally build up at the bottom of the grinder. This is perfect for those smokers who enjoy an extra kick!
